The Muse Project KC - Photographer Information
As a photographer, The Muse Project KC offers benefits to the beginner and expert. We offer the opportunity to add to your portfolio the types of images that will help get your customer’s attention. At just one session you can work with several models, male and female in professional hair and makeup. At many sessions, we have clothing boutiques that provide the wardrobe, allowing you to photograph models in outfits you would normally not have access to. Many images from past Muse Projects have gone print in advertisements for many of the businesses that we partner with. If one of your images is selected, actual print work is an amazing addition to any portfolio as well as garners valuable exposure for your business. The most important benefit is the chance to network with industry professionals and other photographers. The Muse Project KC, above all else, is a learning experience. At The Muse Project, you can network, ask questions, and make valuable connections and lasting relationships with other industry professionals. You will not only learn new photographic techniques, you can learn how to photograph a complete image with feedback from the makeup artist, hair stylists and boutiques. As a photographer, the focus tends to be on the technical aspects of getting an ideal exposure. If you take the time to talk with the other professionals you can gain an appreciation of stray hairs, fixing wardrobe and highlighting makeup work. The Muse Project KC offers these and many other benefits at each session, to help you grow as a photographer.

Goodwin Photography - Featured Photographer Trevor & Amy Goodwin were first introduced to The Muse Project KC on My Space. Toria and CaraSue sent a message with a quick description of The Muse Project and they knew it would be beneficial to their new photography business. The first session they attended was in March 2008 and the site of everything going on was very intimidating in the beginning. After sitting down and chatting with a few of the other photographers, they settled down and were ready to take great pictures! They were very surprised at how willing everyone was to help and teach, not as competitive as they thought it would be. Since their first Muse Session, Goodwin Photography has grown and their images and editing have improved as well. Trevor and Amy said the hands on experience, ability to network and professional images they obtained from Muse Sessions were essential to their growth as photographers. |
